The inspiration to this song came during the pandemic 2020 when I was on the phone talking to a close friend who lived in another town. I was going through a stressful pe- riod and was pretty worn out and really needed a friend. Just the sound of her voice made my eyes tear up and I wished for nothing more than to be near her in that moment even though we wouldn’t be able to hug due to the pandemic. That’s when I came up with the first vers and as soon as we had hunf up I started writing it and recording it on my phone. I wrote the whole song in an afternoon, which is the fastest I’ve ever written a song so far. A love anthem in a time of social distancing and quarantine.
